My Bio

I started making children's books a bit late in life. My forty-plus years as an art director and creative director were certainly helpful as I dove into the craft of book making, while I worked to find the right voice for each one of my projects.
Early on in my career I had the privilege of working with authors and illustrators as an art director for a children's book publisher, Troll Associates. I was fascinated by how every author and illustrator strove to craft something unique with the children's books they were hired to create. My front-row seat afforded me the perfect place to follow the evolution and the process of each title as we worked together to create a little magic in print.
It was nearly thirty years before I took the plunge myself and attempted to write and illustrate my own stories. 
I hope you enjoy the work as much as I've enjoyed developing the characters and stories, because – for me– there is nothing
better than hearing a child giggle at at something you've
written or drawn.
